Jewelry Rules by Romika

SOME SPECIAL JEWELRY RULES FROM ROMIKA:

The choice of accessories is a very personal affair, it's very important that you feel comfortable and in harmony with what you wear. But jewelry is a very special thing that require thorough consideration and good taste

Here are our expert advise on how to make the most of the jewelry:

Woman jewelry rules:

1. Remember "one-statement-at-a-time" rule. It means that you should balance your jewelry items. For example, a dramatic necklace requires modest earrings and vice versa. Similarly, if you don’t want to look like a Christmas tree, avoid wearing more than one massive jewelry peice
at a time. The combination of 2 or 3 discreet rings is ok within the good-taste limits. The same is for the bracelets and chains.

Jewelry sets are traditional gifts. They usually include matching necklace, ear-rings, a bracelet and a ring. You  Do not need to wear them all at once it is nice to mix and match and utilise each peice.

A necklace is good together with a ring, and ear-rings are a fabulous match for a bracelet.

2. Face shape and hair style have an influence on what to wear.

For instance, massive ear-rings look out of place if you have a small face with fine features or short-cut hair. Hair worn piled up is a fabulous opportunity to wear long drop or dangly earrings.

3. Consider your age when choosing the stones and metals that can work best for you.

The good options for a young girl are some strings of pearls, corals, turquoise.

More mature ladies are free to wear all possible precious stones.

As to the metals, it’s up to you what to choose taking your taste, hair and eye-color into account. But on the whole, silver jewelry
is considered to be not only an every-day but the more elaborate peices available today are appropriate for formal and special occasions.

You can combine silver and gold jewelry. But think thoroughly over the combination. For example, silver and gold chains can liven a dark dress up. Never combine a silver necklace with a gold bracelet.

Man jewelry rules:

Bracelets, rings, chains, pendants, wrist watches, body piercing, ear studs ....Men’s jewelry may seem like a new concept to many, but go back into history, it was even popular than it is today. Men decorated themselves even more than they do today, only the way they do so has differed. This is particularly as far as body piercing is concerned. In the good old days body piercing was limited to only the ears and in some cultures the nose.

Men today generally pierce their body more to keep in check their threshold of pain to prove a point that they have a lot of strength and are very brave. So, they go piercing their eyebrows, lips, tongue, navel, chest, and the area that is unimaginable. And mens jewelry donned as far as piercing is concerned are the studs of various shapes and sizes as well as the rings. These maybe crafted from precious metal, or simply surgical steel. Most men who are into body piercing prefer to wear fancy body jewelry that is eye-catching and makes a in-your-face fashion statement. Men's fashion jewelry include bracelets, rings, chains, pendants, wrist watches and ear studs. While in the days of the ancient kings’ rule jewelry for men was a status symbol revealing the affluence of every individual, today it is al about fashion, fads and trends. So, men would wear anything from precious to semi-precious to artificial jewelry, but would definitely want to make a statement with what they wear.

In bracelets most men who wear this accessory prefer a thick chain crafted from silver. Some have a plate attached to the chain that has their name inscribed or embossed. If a silver one costs too much then the fashion market out their have plenty of like-silver options, well within one’s budget. Apart from that many Indian men wear a bangle around their wrist known as a kada, which is more of a religious accessory to protect them from any harm.

Small and dainty is definitely a no-no where men are concerned.Truly speaking it would be misfit for them. They always needs something large and eye-catching. But then how large is a matter of relativity. While in the recent past chunky rings seems to be doing the rounds, most men prefer something that is just there. But then the most common of rings worn by the Indian male folk are those with precious or semi-precious stones as prescribed by an astrologer in order to protect them and ward away all evil; as well as bring in good luck for the wearer.

Neck chains has been popular amongst the kings and royalty of centuries gone by. It was often hear that when a king was happy he would gift the person who brought him the good news or caused him the happiness the chain around his neck. Apart from that a peculiar mark of the religious saints and teachers is the beaded chains they wear around their necks. But then coming down to the present, royalty is not the issue but the present trends men's jewelry, and all the fashion conscious males tend to have a collection of this accessory.
